Accessibility
Everyone should be able to pull up a chair.
Built in
- WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the target.
- Every text color measured against its background. The lowest contrast on the site is 6.1 to 1.
- Every form field has a visible label, and optional fields say so in words.
- Zero tolerance rules are labeled in words, not only by color.
- The safety checklist works without JavaScript, and with it, your screen reader hears how many steps are done.
- The lantern and the porch light are decoration only.
- A clear focus ring on every link and control.
The forum itself
Accessibility is one of the tests for the forum software we choose. We’ll check it with a screen reader before the forum opens.
Not tested yet
Nobody who uses a screen reader every day has tested this site yet.
